Born and raised on the west coast of Newfoundland, Simon moved to Nova Scotia for two years before pursuing a Bachelor of Interior Design at Sheridan College. It has since become clear that his East Coast roots have influenced not only his identity as a person, but also as an emerging designer. Simon’s conceptual and creative process inexorably connects the essence of the surrounding environment to the end user through a commitment to sustainability, practicality, and intuitive design. Drawing as much inspiration from contemporary architecture as he does from the traditional vernacular of his home province, Simon strives to create harmony between these opposing architectural perspectives, elevating traditions of the past to fully inform a successful contemporary design solution.
